This is a fairly short walk, with just a little bit of climbing, but the views are some of the best you’ll get for the little effort required. From the car park at the start of the route, follow the lane for a short distance then turn left on the signposted track. When the lake comes into view, bear right, uphill, on the track shown in the photo below. You’ll return on the path alongside the lake later.

Navigation on the path is very straightforward – you just keep following it. But it gets its name from the fact that it is narrow with quite a steep drop in places, so bear this in mind if you really don’t have a head for heights, or if you have young children with you.

The path loops around the hillside, then drops down to meet the lake. Follow the track along the shore back to the path that you started on, then retrace your steps to the car park.
